Report summary
We've just returned from our October 2023 research trip to Jakarta and came away with improved clarity on recent and upcoming activity. Eni is swiftly moving forward with development plans for its big new Kutei Basin discovery, Geng North. Having also recently acquired Chevron's IDD assets, it has quickly created a new core region. Harbour and Mubadala are hoping they can do the same in North Sumatra, with their exciting multi-well deepwater exploration campaign. We highlight the wells, the challenges and the opportunities. And on the fiscal front, we could soon see more changes on the way for the Gross Split PSC.
