Asset Report
Kandhkot
Report summary
The Kandhkot gas field is located in the Middle Indus Basin of Pakistan. It was brought onstream in 1987, almost 30 years after its discovery. This was mainly due to a lack of market and infrastructure required for development of the low calorific gas. The field supplies the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL).
