Karamay
Report summary
The Karamay field, previously known as Heiyoushan oil field, was discovered in 1955 and located in the northwestern part of the Junggar basin. Karamay produces both light and heavy oil from several formations. Most production is heavy oil, requiring enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technologies.
