Report summary

The Kuatamlonmunai (KAM) JV operates the Konys and Bektas fields in the South Turgai basin central Kazakhstan. The fields have been 100% Chinese owned since 2009 following deals by ZhenHua Oil and CNPC. After these companies farmed in there was higher investment in 2010 14. As a result production increased to a peak of 17 000 b/d in 2013. However capital expenditure has fallen sharply since 2014 in response to the current price environment.
