Report summary
The Kurdamir Development Area is located in the southern part of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), about 90 kilometres southeast of Kirkuk. Three appraisal wells have been drilled, confirming a sizeable hydrocarbon accumulation characterised by a large natural gas cap overlying a substantial oil leg. Oil has been encountered across multiple reservoir intervals, including the Oligocene, Eocene and Cretaceous formations. Gross 2C resources are estimated at approximately 420 million barrels of oil, 55 million barrels of condensate and 1.8 tcf of gas.
