Kuwait is a key oil producing country located between Iraq and Saudi Arabia at the head of the Persian Gulf. Production costs are amongst the lowest in the world. Oil is produced from a few giant oil fields.Greater Burgan accounts for about 50% of the country's oil and gas output. Other field include Raudhatain and Sabriyah in northern Kuwait, and Minagish and Umm Gudair in the west. The offshore Khafji field is an extension of Safaniyah in Saudi Arabia, the world's largest offshore oil field.
