Lankahuasa is a small non-associated gas field owned by Pemex. It was originally thought to be a giant discovery, but further appraisal downgraded its potential. It was Mexico's first non-associated offshore gas field. The field is located off the coast of the state of Veracruz in the Tampico-Misantla basin.
