Report summary
Lemang PSC is located onshore Jambi and contains the Akatara field liquids and gas discovery. In November 2016, initial field development resulted in lower than expected oil production. Production ceased in 2019 due to compartmentalised reservoirs and early water breakthrough. After a reassessment of development plans and discussions with the regulator, the block partners decided to switch focus towards gas development. Under a gas sales agreement signed in December 2021, the Lemang PSC will supply state-owned utility PLN Batam via the Grissik-Batam line. The gas development started production in June 2024.
