LUKOIL AIK operates the Kogalymskoye field which lies in the prolific West Siberian region of Khanty Mansiisk 120 kilometres north east of Surgut. The Kogalymskoye field was discovered in 1972 and brought onstream in 1985. Kogalymskoye sits close to the giant fields of LUKOIL: Tevlinsko Russkinskoye Vat Yoganskoye and South Yagunskoye.Production at Kogalymskoye has risen gradually since 1985 and produced at a plateau of around 55 000 b/d from 2006 to 2012.
