Report summary
A Russian-led consortium operates the giant M25 sour gas field in south Uzbekistan, close to the border with Afghanistan. A PSC was awarded in 2017 for M25 and the surrounding block (Independence of Uzbekistan). The field was formerly known as Gadzhak.An initial US$1.75 billion (2021 terms) investment project is under execution, following FID in 2019.
