Majnoon
Report summary
The Majnoon field is one of Iraq's largest oil fields and is located in the south-eastern province of Basra, along the Iranian border. Prior to the Technical Service Contract (TSC) award, Majnoon had been partially developed by Iraq's South Oil Company. First oil was achieved in 2002. The TSC to develop Majnoon was awarded to a consortium of Shell and Petronas in 2010 with expectations of increasing production to 1.8 million b/d by 2017 and maintaining this level for 10 years.Phase ...
