Report summary
Malaysia awards blocks in its 2023 bid round (MBR 2023), and launches the 2024 acreage offering. In terms of acreage winners, PETRONAS Carigali continues to steal the show, winning four blocks. Shell and Jadestone were awarded one each. Looking forward, the 2024 round could be a harder sell, with a shrinking pool of available acreage meaning new blocks are on offer in fringe plays and basins.
