Report summary
Manakin is a conventional gas field located in shallow water at 110 kilometres off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) with a water depth of 238 metres within Block 5 (b). Manakin was discovered in 2000 by BP Amoco. The project is currently in the feasibility phase, with commercial production anticipated to commence in 2033.Manakin straddles the border with Venezuela. A southern extension of the field into Venezuela is known as Cocuina.
