Report summary
Mangahewa is an onshore gas-condensate field around 20 km from New Plymouth. The Mangahewa expansion project was announced in 2012 following the successful results of appraisal drilling in 2007-2009. Commissioned in 2014, an additional gas processing train increased the annual raw gas processing capacity from 20 to 45 PJ (around 109 mmcfd). Sales gas production steadily increased between 2012-2019 due to regular development drilling, with at least 22 development wells drilled in this period.
