Mangistaumunaigaz (MMG), a JV of NC KazMunaiGas (NC KMG), CNPC and PetroChina, operates 15 mature oil fields in west Kazakhstan. On average, MMG produced about 120,000 b/d in 2022-24, around 90% of which was from the Kalamkas and Zhetibai fields. This represented about 7% of Kazakhstan's gross liquids output in 2024.MMG is one of CNPC/PetroChina's largest and most valuable assets in Kazakhstan, alongside CNPC AktobeMunaiGas and Kashagan.
