Mangistaumunaigaz (MMG), a JV of NC KazMunaiGas (NC KMG), CNPC and PetroChina, operates 15 mature oil fields in west Kazakhstan. The MMG Area currently produces more than 120,000 b/d, around 90% of which is from the Kalamkas and Zhetibai fields. This represents about 7% of Kazakhstan's gross liquids output.Since 1997, the operator has invested almost US$4 billion in the fields.
