The Meridian SeamGas project (formally Dawson Valley Area) is located in the Bowen Basin, Queensland. It includes the Dawson River, Moura and Nipan coal seam gas (CSG) fields. The area is located in close proximity to the Wallumbilla-Gladstone pipeline and this has enabled the project to access industrial markets in Moura and Gladstone. Production commenced in November 1996, making Meridian SeamGas one of the first commercial CSG developments in Australia.
