Mero and Libra
Report summary
Mero is one of Brazil's flagship pre-salt oil and gas development in the Santos basin. Petrobras carved out the field from the Libra block, which continues under evaluation as an exploration block. In 2011, Brazil's upstream regulator, the Agência Nacional do Petróleo (ANP), drilled a well in the area resulting in a discovery.
