This analysis lists the discoveries that have been made offshore Australia with reserves greater than 45 mmboe, which are currently undeveloped.Wood Mackenzie classifies the reserves in these fields as technical reserves. Technical reserves are defined as discovered volumes of petroleum that are potentially, but are not yet considered to be, commercial. This may be due to a number of reasons, for example, a lack of development plans, low resource volumes and technical constraints.
