The Meruap area contains a small oil field located in the Jambi sub basin part of the larger South Sumatra basin. In 2008 Samudra Energy acquired operatorship of the block and embarked on a development drilling and facilities upgrade campaign resulting in a substantial production increase. The field's light crude is trucked to Bajubang and then piped to PERTAMINA's processing facilities at Tempino. A chemical EOR pilot was started in 2012 along with a CO2 injection study. The ...
