Report summary
Meruap is a small and aging oil field onshore Jambi Province. In 2008, Samudra Energy took over as the block operator and started development drilling and facilities upgrade that resulted in a significant production increase. However, reservoir compartmentalisation issues caused greater-than-expected pressure depletion over subsequent years. In 2012, a chemical EOR pilot and a CO2 injection study did not overcome production decline.
