The East and West Messoyakhskoye fields lie on the Gydan Peninsula in the far north of West Siberia. The project is the northernmost onshore oil producing asset in Russia and is a 50:50 JV between Gazpromneft and Rosneft. Gazpromneft began full-scale production at East Messoyakhskoye in September 2016. The field is connected to the Zapolyarye-Purpe trunkline by a 98-kilometre oil pipeline.
