On 9 June 2015, Mexico announced the final terms for the shallow-water exploration opportunities on offer in Round One. The changes made are very positive improvements over earlier terms. The regulators have decreased the amount of bureaucratic monitoring, while improving the fiscal terms through recognition of the risk inherent to exploration activities.
