The Morecambe North and Rhyl gas fields lie 72 kilometres northwest of Liverpool, in the East Irish Sea. Morecambe North was developed using a single not normally manned (NNM) platform controlled from Morecambe South. Gas is exported via a 36-kilometre pipeline to the onshore Rampside Gas Terminal.Rhyl was discovered in 2009 and started production in 2013.
