Asset Report
Moulavi Bazar
Report summary
The Moulavi Bazar development area is located in the country's oldest gas producing region, in north-eastern Bangladesh, and lies within the former block 14 area. The field was discovered in 1999 and brought onstream in March 2005. Following the commissioning of the Bibiyana field in March 2007, production was curtailed due to limitations in the pipeline network. Gas from the field is processed at a central processing facility before being piped to Rashidpur where it joins the national gas distribution grid.
