The Nawara field is located onshore in Tunisia's southern region, Tataouine, 25 kilometre south of the Eni-operated Adam fields. It is currently the largest gas field in Tunisia.The field was discovered in 2006. The Nawara gas development project, also called South Tunisia Gas Project (STGP), was launched in 2008 by OMV, Eni and Pioneer.
