Niger has been an oil producer since 2011 - production from the landlocked country was achieved when CNPC's Agadem development came onstream. Agadem remains the only producing asset in Niger. CNPC is the major investor in Niger.The Agadem Rift Basin boasts an 85% exploration success rate - exploration in the last decade has significantly increased with CNPC, Sonatrach and Savannah Energy acquiring new licences.
