North Africa Petroleum and Exhibition Conference - Algeria 2018
Report summary
Wood Mackenzie recently presented at the 8th North Africa Petroleum and Exhibition Conference (NAPEC) in Oran, Algeria. At the conference, we presented on Algeria's: • impressive gas resource base with nearly 100 tcf remaining • tightening gas supply/demand balance • tough fiscal terms compared to its peers With many gas export contracts set to expire soon, Algeria will have to reposition itself in a buyer's market. But where will new sources of gas supply come from to ensure growing domestic demand is met? And how can Algeria entice international oil companies to a country where outside investment has been stymied by poor contractor returns? Our presentation "A new era for Algerian gas" is available as a slide pack (see the downloads section).
