Report summary

Novoportovskoye is the largest oil field on the Yamal Peninsula. Due to its remote location it was left undeveloped for nearly 50 years - with pilot development beginning in 2011. The licence for Novoportovskoye was transferred from Gazprom to Gazpromneft in early 2012. In May 2016, Gazpromneft started year-round shipments of oil through the Arctic Gates oil loading terminal.Gazpromneft has two distinct plans for the oil development of the southern and northern part of Novoportovskoye.
