The North Sumatra Offshore (NSO) PSC includes a complex of gas fields with some small oil accumulations. The only commercial field - the A field - came onstream in July 1999. The field was the first sour gas development offshore Indonesia. Gas produced is used as feedstock for the Arun LNG facility, and for sulphur production for the domestic market. Production from the Arun LNG plant ceased in October 2014 and the remaining gas production from the PSC is now sold to the domestic market. The NSO A field is very mature and we expect production to cease in 2018.
