Report summary
This transaction follows the December 2013 deal between Total and InterOil for a majority stake in the same acreage. The Total/InterOil deal was dependent on InterOil acquiring these minority Pac LNG Group interests in PRL15, so we understand that Total's deal cannot complete in its present format and further negotiations are likely. Furthermore, as Oil Search now holds pre-emption rights it can influence any further transfer of equity on the block.
