OML 114 lies in the Cross River estuary. In 1992, a sole risk contract for OPL 230 was awarded to Moni Pulo, under the government's indigenous awards policy. In 1997, the Abana field was discovered and came onstream two years later, making Moni Pulo one of the earliest indigenous producers. The block was converted to OML 114 in 2000.Abana is produced via two wellhead platforms and a floating production facility.
