OML 33 is a small block in the remote swamps of the southern Niger Delta. Previously part of the Shell JV, the block has three discoveries namely Bubouwe Bou, Elepa and Okiori which remain undeveloped. The operating conditions are difficult, as OML 33 is bisected by numerous large river channels, with access only possible by helicopter or boat.
