OMV's Wisting Central exploration well has found oil in the Hoop area of the Norwegian Barents Sea. Reserves are estimated at between 65 and 165 million barrels of oil, and 10 to 40 bcf of gas. Further drilling is required to test the upside potential which could take reserves up to 200 to 500 million boe.
