Orca straddles the UK/Netherlands median line in the Southern Gas Basin and was developed with a platform and three wells tied back to D/15-FA in the Dutch sector. Gas was exported through the 130-kilometre long Noordgastransport (NGT) extension which links D/15-FA to L/10 and the existing Noordgastransport pipeline to the Uithuizen terminal onshore.The gas in the Orca reservoir is of particularly low quality, with high inert content and low calorific value.
