Ordos Basin (Remaining PetroChina)

Report summary

The Ordos Basin is a major oil and gas producing area overlapping the Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia provinces. Historically, the low permeability of many formations has constrained development of the region. Since early 2000s, gas development has accelerated rapidly in the region and it is PetroChina's biggest gas producing region in China. Sulige is the biggest gas field in the basin which also includes the Changbei and South Sulige PSCs.
