Report summary
The Oued Zar/Hammouda field complex is located in the Ghadames Basin of Southern Tunisia, around 85 kilometres southeast of El Borma. The Oued Zar and Hammouda fields were brought onstream in May 1996 and September 1998 respectively. The partners discovered additional reserves in an accumulation north of Hammouda in March 2001. The Hammouda Nord field was developed and brought onstream within a month. Oil production is in decline from a peak of 9,500 b/d in 1999. Gas production is also in decline.
