Pegasus West lies in the Southern Gas Basin, 110 kilometres off the northeast coast of England. Centrica Energy discovered the field in 2011, before relinquishing the licence in 2021. INEOS was awarded the acreage in 2024 during the UK's 33rd Offshore Licensing Round. It plans to develop Pegasus West with a small, unmanned platform tied-back 67 kilometres to its operated Breagh Alpha platform.
