Peyto Exploration & Development Corp. (Peyto) was formed in November 1998. In 2003, Peyto changed its corporate structure to an income trust called Peyto Energy Trust. In 2011, after the Federal government's decision to disallow the income trust structure, the organization changed back to Peyto Exploration and Development Corporation and became a dividend-paying company.
