Phoenix is an oil and gas field located in the Green Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. Originally named Typhoon, the field was developed by Chevron with a mini-Tension Leg Platform (TLP). Production began in July 2001, and continued until Hurricane Rita destroyed the facility in September 2005.
