Report summary
The Sendji and Yanga fields were discovered on the Pointe Noire Grand Fond (PNGF) exploration licence in 1973 and 1979 respectively. A development licence was carved out in 1979 and first oil was produced two years later. The shallow water fields are reservoired in Albian and Cenomanian sandstone, two key productive formations offshore Congo.Crude from the KLL fields is also processed at Yanga.
