Q2 2026 pre-FID project tracker: FPSO projects dominate the quarter’s committed investment

Report summary
Fifteen projects have been sanctioned in the first half of 2026. Representing almost US$70 billion of committed investment and over 10 billion boe of reserves. Eni and Azule Energy have committed to FPSO projects in Côte d’Ivoire and Angola respectively. While in Brazil, Petrobras has also made a final investment decision for two FPSOs at the Sergipe-Alagoas deepwater project. Up to 15 further projects could be sanctioned by the end 2026. In total we expect just over 25 to be sanctioned.
