With 81 mmtpa exported in 2022, Qatar is one of the world's top exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG), alongside Australia and the US. It is one of the world's leading oil and gas producers with an output of 4.9 million boe/d in 2022, with two thirds of this being gas.The country's major asset is the offshore North Field, the world's largest gas field.
