QEP Resources is an independent exploration and production company based in Denver, Colorado. The company has operations in the Rocky Mountains, Permian and Gulf Coast regions. In the Gulf Coast region, QEP Resources has assets in the ArkLaTex Basin where it targets the Haynesville Shale and Cotton Valley plays. The company curtailed all operated drilling in the basin in 2012 and is unlikely to resume until natural gas prices recover.
