Repsol takes a step forward with Boyuy-X2 well
Report summary
More good news for Repsol. The company has indicated its Boyuy-X2 well in Bolivia was a technical success on the heels of a gas discovery in Indonesia earlier this year. Drilled to roughly 8,000 meters, the results are ground-breaking and bust a number of myths about the geology of the Caipipendi block. Although additional work is required to further explore this new play, the Boyuy discovery adds a potential growth opportunity for Repsol in Bolivia and could offset future gas declines.
