Rospan International operates three licences covering deep layers of the super-giant Urengoiskoye gas field: East-Urengoiski, Novo-Urengoiski and Resursni. Rospan also owns the Salpadayakhski and Minkhovski blocks on the Gydan peninsula. Production from the Urengoi field started in 2003, but was constrained by limited access to infrastructure.
