Report summary
Santos has made a significant gas 'discovery' with its Corvus-2 appraisal well, which encountered an unexpected 245 metres of net hydrocarbon pay. This confirms a substantial gas resource. Corvus is located 90 kilometres offshore in the Carnarvon basin, Western Australia. The field is operated 100% by Santos, and lies in shallow water close to existing infrastructure. The Reindeer platform is 28 kilometres away, allowing access to the WA domestic market.
