Satah is an offshore oil field located 200 kilometres northwest of Abu Dhabi city, close to the maritime boundary with Qatar. It is a symmetrical anticline which lies on trend with the Bunduq field to the north and the Arzanah discovery to the south. The primary reservoir is the Jurassic Arab D carbonate. The oil is light but with a high gas-oil ratio. In 2011 the joint venture awarded an EPC contract to Technip and NPCC.
