The Sawan and Tajjal gas fields are located in northern Sindh province, in Pakistan's foremost gas producing region, the Indus Basin. The fields lie between the River Indus to the west and the Pakistan/India border, around 50 kilometres to the east. At its peak, Sawan was one of Pakistan's largest gas producers.
