Report summary
The SB J PSC contains the deepwater Gumusut oil and gas field, located in 1,000 metres of water. The field extends westwards into the adjacent SB K PSC where it is known as Kakap. In 2006, an unitisation agreement was reached for the joint development of Gumusut/Kakap and a Final Investment Decision (FID) was made in January 2008. The field was developed using a leased floating production system with a pipeline transporting the oil to the new-build Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal (SOGT) at Kimanis.
