The Sean Area includes the Sean and Sean East gas fields. Sean comprises two separate structures (North and South) that were developed to fulfil a peak shaving role at times of high gas demand. The fields were brought onstream in 1986 and 1994 and are nearing cessation of production.Three platforms were installed on Sean, including the central processing platform.
