The Sengkang PSC comprises several gas fields onshore in southern Sulawesi and is operated by Energy Mega Persada (EMP). The largest field, Kampung Baru, has been onstream since 1997. Gas from Kampung Baru is piped to an independent power plant which supplies electricity to the local grid.In November 2008, the Sengkang power plant's generating capacity was expanded from 135 MW to 195 MW via the addition of a gas turbine.
